Ballet Teacher Position Available

Laura's Stage is seeking a motivated, energetic Ballet instructor to teach classes on a part-time basis for members of all ages beginning September 4, 2023. Specific duties include:

• Preparation of dance lessons with an emphasis on fitness and technique to keep members moving throughout the class period.

• Teach 3-4 ballet classes per week to students ranging in ages 4-14

• Develop lesson plans and provide constructive feedback to students

• Collaborate with other instructors to ensure cohesive and effective teaching practices

• Attend staff meetings and participate in studio events and performances

• Maintain a positive and motivating classroom environment

• Instruct different age and skill levels within one class, engaging all class participants and making it a fun experience.

• Ability to choreograph a ballet excerpt for each class level in preparation for the Winter Showcase

Requirements: 

• Must have at least 2 years of teaching experience in ballet

• Possess a thorough knowledge of ballet technique 

• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Must be reliable and punctual

Details:

• Availability: Tuesday-Thursday between 5-7:30PM

• Job Types: Part-time

• Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour

• License/Certification: Group Instructor Certification (Preferred)

• Contract Length: 3-month evaluation period

• Full Time Opportunity: To be determined

• Hours per week: Less than 10
